The space
Spiti Barbara is perfect for 3 couples/families or a small group of friends, up to max 6 adults with its 3 bedrooms plus living-room and a big courtyard. . Spiti Barbara is a 220 year old traditional cave house situated in Firostefani, about a 10 minute walk from the main town, Fira.

One bedroom has a queen and single bed and can accommodate a couple or 2 singles or even 3 people, adjoining is a sleeping loft with a bed for two. There is a bathroom off the main living room and shower/laundry and toilet across the courtyard -typical of the architecture of the time. The 3rd bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower and WC.
There are two rooftop terraces with magnificent views over the Caldera. The courtyard with its well established olive tree provides a cool and private place to sit. The house has been sympathetically renovated to provide a modern standard of comfort whilst retaining as much as possible, the traditional and typical architecture of a cave house.

The house is located just below the Hotel Chic and just above Dana Villas. Taverns and small supermarkets which are open in season, are very close, and the main town of Fira is only a 10 minute walk, along a scenic pathway.

One of the last authentic cave houses in Firostefani. Very spacious 75m2 indoors – excellent view – 2 terraces – shady courtyard with olive tree and flowers (~ 80m2) – 3 bedrooms – 1 livingroom – 3 bathrooms – fully equipped kitchen.

Firostefani is setteled on the middle of the caldera and you can easily reach other places by bus, car or on foot.

Beaches are to be found on the shallow side of the island, next beaches 10min by car: Exo Gialos and Monolithos.

Other things to note
This house is very spacious and has got real big terraces that you don’t share… unlike many other accomodations. The courtyard gives you even more privacy. It’s our private holiday home and you will have it for yourself only. It’s called SPITI meaning ‘house’ in Greek and is much bigger than most ‘villas’ around…
There are some steps down to the house, but unlike many other places you don’t need to cope with too many steps…

Santorini has a lot to offer, e.g.
For nature lovers: the volcano and unique shape of the island invite to discover more on foot
For wine lovers: many wineries offer wine tastings – the volcanic soil makes the wine very special

For music lovers:
In August the Megaron Gyzi Festival takes place with renown artists and free admission. And throughout the summer the Santorini Jazz festival in Kamari.
In September, there is the famous International Music Festival. Running for over thirty years, the festival features musicians from across the world playing a series of concerts that include opera, chamber music and jazz.

The Santorini Volcano Festival fills the month of August with concerts and cultural events, dancing and traditions. The festival is rounded off with a huge firework.
